The Conference

This annual event is organized under the aegis of the IDF and ISO TC 34/SC 5 on milk and milk products. The week provides the facility for dairy laboratory managers, dairy scientist and analytical professionals to network and exchange ideas on the latest development in analytical solutions and the launching of new initiatives.

Germany is the most producing Member State of the EU, with around 33.1 million tons of high standard milk annually. Around half of the milk processed in dairies in Germany is exported, so that most exports to other EU member states, but also to third countries, are of enormous importance for the German dairy industry.

For this, a flawless, high-quality raw material must be available. The determination of the chemical and microbiological quality as well as the sensory quality of raw milk by means of standards are important quality parameters.

IDF proactively contributes to the development of science-based globally harmonised standards, guidelines, codes of practice and related methodologies. The IDF/ISO Analytical Week 2022 is a unique opportunity with which to observe and engage with IDF expert groups in action.
